CUSTOMIZING YOUR SYSTEM SETTINGS

The settings window is actually a series of windows or tabs with the various “settings” divided into groups. Along with the descriptions of the various settings I’ll sometimes recommend a “setting”. If I give a recommendation, it is only that, a recommendation. You choose what will work best for you at this time. If you decide that you want to make changes to a setting, you will know where they can be found and have an understanding of what each setting is about.

Select View from the Menu bar. This can be done by clicking View, or using the keyboard equivalent alt + V.

Select Settings. Click once on Settings, or type “S”.

When you have finished making selections in the Settings window, you need to click “OK” to save your changes. Clicking “Cancel” will close the Settings window without saving changes.
