Inventory Adjust Window
The “Inventory Adjust” window can be used to adjust the inventory
levels of any existing product. A record of adjustments is created
as product go in or out of your inventory. The inventory adjust
window is also used to track product loans. Products can be loaned
or borrowed with an account kept for each contact. Accounts can be
settled by returning product or making payments.
To open the Inventory Adjust window, select “Inventory Adjust”
from the “Inventory” menu.
Notice that the window is split in two. The
top section is IN (for products being added to your inventory) and
the bottom section is OUT (for products leaving your inventory). The
date at the top will be a default, you have the ability to change it
to the date of the transaction.
When entering inventory via the Adjust Inventory screen, you will
not see any wholesale values, nor will you be able to determine
various discount percentages.
The Loan/Inventory Adjust window also uses the Product Search
window. This is the same search window that is used in the Invoice.
If you like working by description you can begin typing the item’s
description in the description field and make use of the look up
window for both description and color fields. If you prefer to
utilize part number, with your cursor in the description field do a
shift+3, or the # sign. After you decide which entry method you wish
to use, you can use the tab key to take you to the next field. The
only other field that you will have access to is the amount field.
The extension field will be calculated for you.
By tabbing out of the amount field, a new line will appear for
you to make your next entry. This line will not appear if you select
enter in the amount field. You will first need to tab through the
next field of the entry before a new line will appear.
To add the items to inventory which you have entered, click on
the Process button at the bottom of the screen. If you do choose to
enter your inventory this way, you may want to add a few and then
process, repeating the process until you are complete. Selecting
Cancel will return you to the contact window.
The View Account button will display a historical file off all
items which have been added or removed from inventory using this
option.
