After installation I'm getting a "Path not
found" error message or it says that it cannot find Dawin.mdb.
This message indicates that the system is unable to locate it's database. When
you open your system, the program looks at a file called
\windows\dawin.ini to find it's path to the database. If you're getting
this error message, it indicates that you have installed the system
twice in different locations. To reset this file so that it
will be correct, click "Start" then "Find" or "Search" then "Files or
Folders". Type dawin.ini into the "Named" field and make sure that the
"Look In" selection has your C drive selected. Click "Find/Search Now" to locate
the dawin.ini file. When the "Find All Files" window has located
the dawin.ini file, it will be displayed at the bottom of the
window. Click once on dawin.ini to highlight it and press delete on
your keyboard or "Right Click" on the file and select "Delete" from the search
window's "File" menu. Windows will confirm
that you want to remove the file to your recycle bin. Answer "Yes".
With the file removed, the system will generate a new file with the
correct path the first time you go into it.
I'm updating my system from Windows 3.1 to 95, 98 or to Windows ME
or XP. Will the system still work?
Both the Consultant's Assistant and the Director's Assistant run
on Windows 3.1, Windows 95 and Windows 98, 2000, XP and ME. On Windows 3.1,
not all features are available.
