Downloading and Installing files from the internet
Download the file. Downloading files from the
internet is somewhat different for the various browsers that people
are using. Generally, when you click on a download, a "Save As"
window will open. You may have the option to "Open" or "Save to
Disk". Select the "Save to Disk" option. This will open a "Save As"
window. Select your Desktop in the "Save In" field. Do not change
the name of the file and take note of the name so you can access it
later. Click "Save", this will begin the downloading process.
Downloading times vary depending on the speed of your connection and
the size of the download file.
When the download is complete, you'll have an icon on your
desktop with the name of the file you downloaded. Double click on
the icon to launch the installation. It is recommended that you
install the software into the default directory. After installation
is complete, you can access the program with the "Start" menu. (If
you've downloaded a trial system, Click "Start", "Programs",
"Dawin", "Director's/Consultant's Assistant".)
After you have successfully installed, the download file
itself is no longer needed. You can delete it by clicking on it 1
time to highlight it and then press the "Delete" key on your
keyboard to move it to your Recycle bin.
