contact queues

What's a queue?

Contact Queues are temporary groups of contacts. You can add various people to a queue, print reports or labels and then reset the queue with one click to set it up to use it for something else. Queues can be used for a daily shipping. As you enter invoices, enter the contacts that you are shipping product to into one of the queues. When you’re ready to ship, print mailing labels and report for your shipping

To add a contact to one of the queues, locate the contact and click on the queue’s icon. A message box will appear asking to confirm that you wish to add the contact to the queue. Click on the queue icon again to remove the contact from the queue. Again a message box will appear to confirm. You can view or print a report of either queue in both the Contact Lister and Reports.

The description which the system uses for the queues can be edited to reflect what you are using the queues for. The default description is “Queue One” and “Queue Two”. This is the description which is used when printing reports or displaying the queue option in the Contact Lister or Reports. If you where using Queue One for shipping you may want to change the description to “Daily Shipping” or something similar. You can change the description in the “Settings” window under “More Settings”. See Settings
